Fall Foliage

Last fall I hiked around a few times messing around with my camera. Went to Old Rag in Shenandoah National Park, Harpers Ferry, and near where I live in Patapsco State Park. I'm learning more and more of cameras and editing with each video I make. This video and blog post is being posted out of order with some of the other videos I have made lately but I have been really busy and just finished it up recently and am just now getting around to posting it. Enjoy!

Great Falls, VA Highline

In early March I helped rig the first ever highline at Greats Falls, VA. Not sure exactly how long it was but it was over 100 feet. I couldnt try it due to my messed up shoulder (thats a whole story in itself). So I shot a a little video of Byron, Steve and Lyle trying it. No one made it all the way across. I'd say it was closer to 150 feet long and thats long even for walking a line 3 feet off the ground let alone 50 feet up. Enjoy.

Slackin' Fridays

It's been a long time since I've made a post here, but it's time to change that. Slacklining is a little hobby I got into around 6 years ago through rock climbing. Great activity to help balance and work out the shoulders, core, and leg muscles. When I started slacklining I only knew a couple who had tried it and even less people who did it on a regular basis. Couldn't let that stop me from getting better at this obscure activity. I bought my first line and set it up in my backyard. Over the years I got more and more into slacklining. Then came along Steve. We started climbing together from a mutual climbing partner and he got interested in slacklining. I set one up in his backyard so he could practice. The past couple years we have been slacklining pretty regularly in different parks and areas around where we live gradually building up to the 100 ft lines we walk now.

This is a little video I put together of a bunch of clips from a bunch of different sessions since I got my first video camera a while ago.
